Rhys Gilchrist is a Guitar Teacher, Artist, Performer, and Community Music Facilitator based in Edinburgh (U.K).

With nearly a decade of teaching and workshop experience, Rhys has helped hundreds of musicians from all over the world achieve their musical goals. Rhys graduated with a BMus from Edinburgh College where he specialised in Music Theory, Improvisation, Songwriting, and Jazz/Blues guitar playing.

As a Community Music Facilitator, Rhys has spent over 6 years working with the Tinderbox Collective, an Edinburgh-based youth music organisation. Rhys delivers weekly music workshops in the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People and was 1 of 3 finalist in Arts category at the ‘Young Scot Awards’ 2022 for his work at the hospital.

In addition to his busy teaching schedule, Rhys performs nationwide in a range of styles, including Jazz, Blues, Funk, Folk, and Orchestral projects.
